I’m lucky enough to get to craft with some very sweet talented friends on a regular basis and let me tell you it is awesome, they are all very inspirational to me. Today we are celebrating Amy’s birthday! Amy is one of those special people in the world that everyone loves being around. She is always smiling and laughing. She is kind and supportive. She doesn’t sleep much and comments on lots and lots (and lots) of blog posts which makes everyone whose blog she visits happy. I am very blessed to call her my friend.
We are taking Amy on an amazing trip around the world to see some of her favorite things! While I should have thought of colombia for a nice cup of coffee but I thought of the next best thing which was to take her to one of my favorite places to visit which is Florida. I have only been a few times but fell in love and it is never far from my mind. It has a lovely climate and surrounded by water I don’t think paradise could be better than warm sand and the ocean. It is also the only place in the country where you can see the beautiful flamingo in the wild!
This week we have a this cool sketch for inspiration:
Here is my take:
I totally CASED the last pamphlet that was in the Paper Pumpkin kit last month! This card took less than 10 mins to make once I decided what to make. I love the colors and layers in this set. If you are looking for quick cards to make that look like they took a lot of time check out the monthly Paper Pumpkin kits as they come with everything you need to make cards and home decor!
Thank you for stopping by and I can’t wait to see what you create!
This is one of my favorite cards from Toni.
She has so many great ones it was hard to narrow it down!

We are celebrating Toni’s birthday today. I fell in love with Toni the minute I met her. She is funny, extremely talented, smart and just all around a cool chick. We share a habit too, well more than one but this one some would think is a bad habit. We swear. We are good at it too! We are both no-nonsense a say what we think and we seem to work very well together as she is the design team coordinator for my shop. She is one of my go to people when I need advice or just want to think out loud. She (& Amy) inspired me and actually physically helped me clean my craft room, which is a VERY big thing. Long story longer, Toni is awesome and I am so glad I can call her my friend.
This Concord & 9th stamp is going to get a lot of use by me. It is from their newest release and I love that it fills up the front of the card. The sentiments that are in this set can stamp right over the top or you can cut them out or stamp them below the flowers and it works no matter what you do. It reminds me of Toni as she always seems to come up with a way to make things work. :)I stamped the image with versafine ink after memento started to bleed and the versafine worked great! I watercolored the panel using Zig markers and I think it turned out pretty nice.
It’s my turn to host our birthday buddies blog hop! I’m lucky enough to get to craft with some very sweet talented friends on a regular basis and let me tell you it is awesome, they are all very inspirational to me. We are celebrating Katie’s birthday today. Katie happens to be the sweetest girl. Always ready with a smile and a kind word. She is super funny too. I am surprised that with all the talking and laughing we do at our gatherings that we get anything made at all! We do get things made though as my card for Katie was made at one of those play days!
The very talented Kimberly brought this card for us as a make and take and I loved her version (she is excellent with copics) but mine not so much. Though as the weeks go by mine is growing on me. It was a simple and fun card to make and makes me smile which is exactly what happens when I think of Katie!
