Happy Birthday Amy!

I’m lucky enough to get to craft with some very sweet talented friends on a regular basis and let me tell you it is awesome, they are all very inspirational to me.  Today we are celebrating Amy’s birthday!  Amy is one of those special people in the world that everyone loves being around.  She is always smiling and laughing.  She is kind and supportive.  She doesn’t sleep much and comments on lots and lots (and lots) of blog posts which makes everyone whose blog she visits happy. I am very blessed to call her my friend.

We are taking Amy on an amazing trip around the world to see some of her favorite things!  While I should have thought of colombia for a nice cup of coffee but I thought of the next best thing which was to take her to one of my favorite places to visit which is Florida.  I have only been a few times but fell in love and it is never far from my mind.  It has a lovely climate and surrounded by water I don’t think paradise could be better than warm sand and the ocean.  It is also the only place in the country where you can see the beautiful flamingo in the wild!

I was inspired for the card by a pin I came across by the very talented Vanessa Menhorn.

Time for the Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop!

This month’s inspiration photo:

Supplies:  PTI Black Cardstock, Quilled Elegance, Embroidered Blooms;
Zig Markers, Watercolor paper, Wink of Stella

I found lots of inspiration from the artist’s website but everything I made looked messy to me so I went back to my old standby of clean and simple.  This was my first attempt with the Zig’s and so far the Zig’s are winning.  I need to practice with them, a lot…  I used them here without water.

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

Time for the Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop!
This month’s inspiration photo:
Supplies:  PTI White Cardstock, Sequin; SU Stamps, DP; Sugar Peas Die; Copics

I made this card for my sweet and very talented friend Kate at Pinned and Penned.  I wasn’t able to join in her birthday blog hop but I wanted her to know I was thinking of her and to wish her a Happy Birthday even if it is a little lot late.

I hate using my white PTI CS for bases that get covered up with DP, rather than directly stamped on,  but it is so sturdy it tends to be what I use most when I only have light top layers.

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

Day 3 PTI BD Challenges Thinking of You

Day three of Papertrey Ink’s 9th Birthday celebration and challenges. Be sure to check out Nicole’s page and join in the fun if you can!

Day 3 Challenge: Create a new project that is created with supplies you grab and gather together in 5 minutes.
Supplies: All PTI

What’s funny or not so funny if you ask my husband, all the supplies were out and within reach of my craft table for this card.  The base and panel were in a baggie waiting to be made into Christmas cards (that didn’t happen), the flower stamp and die set just happened to on the table where I set it while I was looking for something else and the impression plate was still sitting on my big shot from when I used it a few days ago.  You see, I am a procraftanator, I plan to craft so I have get the supplies out but then it actually takes me awhile to craft and when I am finished crafting I think to myself, oh that was fun I will make something else right after I finish doing this or that and then I don’t go back to crafting for a few days…  But hey my supplies are right there where I need them at least until I can’t find them because they are buried under other craft supplies…
Please, please, please tell me I’m not the only one that does this.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
