I had so much fun and it was such a Joy to part of Stampin’ Celebration challenge blog this month! For my last challenge we have this gorgeous photo for inspiration:
I totally love the inspiration photo! Be sure to visit me again on Wednesday for another project I made based on the photo! These two stamp sets (Hardwood, Wondrous Wreath) are turning out to be some of my favorites!
I heat embossed white woodgrain on the black cardstock and I think it kind of looks like snow. For the Joy, I used double sided tape to adhere red foil to cardstock, then die cut it and several cardstock extras and I glued them altogether to make it sturdier. I added red glitter glue to the dots on the wreath to make this card sparkle and shine.
Thank you so much for stopping by and be sure to check out all of the gorgeousness from wonderfully talented design team!
These are wreaths I made back in January 2011 and I just hung them up again for the Christmas season and thought I would share the post again!
A few weeks ago I came across this
website which led to this
! And so the hunt began for foam wreaths, felt etc.
I liked it so much I made two! Then I just had to have something between them and of course I had to have something from Papertrey Ink
which led to this homage to Valentines Day!
Each of those wreaths have over 300, 3″ circles! I used my spellbinder circle dies and ran it through my cuttlebug. I read that some people cut each one out by hand. My hats off to those people, I think I did about three before I decided mine were not going to be done that way! Can you say carpel tunnel! 🙂 The paper in the banner is just stuff I had in my stash. The letters were cut out on the Cricut and the banner and circles were from Papertrey dies. On the mantel you can see a piece of scroll-work my DH made. He is pretty crafty too! It says “Faith Family and Friends” and isn’t that what it is all about in the end? I think so.
