Thank You CTS#153

Thanks to Leigh’s card I decided to play along with this cool sketch!

So my friend Toni over at the blog Frankie helps craft brought some Yupo paper and her Ken Oliver Color Burst paints to our last craft get together and then I came across this sketch over the weekend and here is what I created!  I love how it turned out!

I die cut the paper with a Mama elephant scallop die and stamped it with a lovely Concord & 9th stamp with Brutus Monroe Detail Ink.

I think this would be good for a guy and if you used more brown and green paints it would totally be a guy card.  I’m always looking to make more of those.

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas December PTI Bloghop

PTI Blog Hop

Time for the Papertrey Ink December Blog Hop!
This month’s inspiration photo:

Supplies:  PTI Black & White Cardstock, Stamps Mama Elephant, Ink Hero Arts, Reeves gouache

I really love the idea of this card but in reality is just okay.  I used an inexpensive set of gouache paints from Michaels and the were supposed to be opaque but it took several coats of paint to cover the black paper.  I do like how the wink of stella glitter shows up on the trees and snow drifts.  I will try it again with the paints I was told to get in the first place.  *Tip-listen to your crafty friends when they tell you what brands to buy.

Toni, I will never doubt you again.  🙂

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

Happy Birthday Amy Blog Hop!

Happy Birthday Amy Tsuruta!
I have met many wonderful and talented people since I started blogging nine years ago.  (wow that went by fast!)  Amy hosts our crafty group whenever we can get together and she really is as nice in person as she seems on the web!  She has a wonderful laugh always has a kind word and smile on her face.  I am totally blessed by having met her and the other fun, talented and sweet ladies from our group.

The card I made was cased from this beautiful card by Nicole Gavaldon.

This stamp and die set is Charmed from Mama Elephant (I think that sleeping fox is so cute!)  I water colored with Tim Holtz Distress Markers.

Please hop on over to see what the ladies have made for Amy!
